150 artists added to Great Escape 2017 line up

Another 150 artists have been added to this year’s Great Escape line up, including Rejjie Snow and Rat Boy.

Having already knocked Kanye West from the top of the iTunes hip-hop chart Rejjie Snow; Irish wordsmith and rapper extraordinaire will be joining the likes of Rag’n’Bone Man and Slaves at the festival.

Joining him are music collective The Fedz, made up of some of the most talented producers, musicians and vocalists in the UK and USA. Kojey Radical will be bringing along his fierce and naturally compelling lyricism.

Liv Dawson, who’s already teamed up with Disclosure, will please the crowds with her soulful voice and dance-licked beats, while Toronto’s Charlotte Day Wilson will enchant with subdued velvety vocals, sensitive instrumentation and sparse melodies.

Jordan Cardy, aka Rat Boy, will be bringing his notorious anarchy, and Rory Wynne will showcase his swagger and gritty guitar pop. Charismatic Brighton-based singer songwriter Daniel Wakeford is a champion for the burgeoning learning disabled music scene and brings his unique brand of ecstatic pop to the festival in ‘The Daniel Wakeford Experience’.

Another keeping the flag flying high for Brighton is newly label-independent Gabrielle Aplin whose fresh material merges her smooth but powerful trademark sound with underlying tropical vibes, whilst Brighton five-piece Fickle Friends will bring in the summer with indie-tinged pop bangers full of catchy hooks, sparky vocals and heavy synths.
