FAC 51 The Hacienda announces Xmas parties for Glasgow and Manchester with Danny Tenaglia & Todd Terry

FAC 51 The Hacienda has announced two very special Christmas parties for the weekend prior to New Years Eve at SWG3 Warehouse Glasgow on Friday 29th December and The Warehouse Project Manchester on Saturday 30th December with both events featuring Danny Tenglia and Todd Terry at the top of the line up.

With Danny Tenaglia’s appearances being much in demand world-wide, the bookings mark something of a coup for The Hacienda and tickets are already moving fast for both dates given Danny’s outstanding reputation has grown from his early days at The Paradise Garage and then residencies at New York club’s Twilo and Vinyl.  Danny’s legendary sets at his annual Winter Music Conference party as well as his own “Be Yourself Parties” make both dates not to be missed appearances for house music aficionados and connoisseurs through the UK.

Legendary New York pioneer Todd Terry joins Danny on both dates and he remains one of the most lauded and respected house DJs ever. Todd’s vast back catalogue sees his own productions such as Orange Lemon’s “Dream Of Santa Anna”, Black Riot’s “A Day In The Life” and “Just Make That Move”, CLS’s “Can You Feel It”  compete with his extensive repertoire of remixes for space within his innovative and tightly constructed sets.

The third US DJ coming to the Glasgow date is Marshall Jefferson, a major influence on the development of Chicago House. In crafting classics like ‘Move Your Body’, Traxx Releases such “Open Our Eyes” and performing on Ce Ce Roger’s seminal “Someday”, Marshall has travelled the world preaching the gospel of the original house sound and his name is widely respected for his role in the history of house music.

Meanwhile Kevin Saunderson makes up the trio of US DJ legend’s performing at The Warehouse Project the following night. A name known to any fan of dance music as Reese, Inner City, E-Dancer and as himself Kevin Saunderson,  Kevin is also one of the most influential producers in dance music history. A core member of Detroit’s “The Belville Three” with Derrick May and Juan Atkins, Kevin’s tracks, “Good Life”, “Big Fun” and “The Colour Of Love” were huge worldwide hits in dance music’s early days and remain seminal today.

Both dates see a vast number of DJ’s rounding up the line ups. In Glasgow, The Hacienda’s own Jon Dasilva and Herbie Saccani, the sublime disco skills of  Million Dollar Disco’s Al Kent and STREETrave’s loyal DJ firm Jon Mancini and Boney also bring themselves and their talents to The Hacienda’s Scottish Xmas Party.
