She Drew The Gun today unveil the video for their latest single ‘Paradise’. The striking visual to accompany Paradise sees the tracks powerful lyrics juxtaposed with imagery tied to the songs themes of capitalism and privilege. Paradise is the third single to be taken from the acclaimed Wirral bands sophomore album ‘Revolution Of Mind’ following the BBC 6Music A-Listed tracks Resister and Something For The Pain.
Its like a bad advert for capitalism, as if it was a product in some grotesque 1950s ad. The free market is so wonderful isn’t it?says Louisa Roach, She Drew The Gun’s frontwoman and songwriter, of ‘Paradise’. It’s supposed to make everything great when really its just a paradise for the rich and privileged, but there’s trouble on the breeze because it’s completely unsustainable.
Revolution Of The Mind was chosen as a 6Music Recommends Album Of The Year 2018 alongside albums from IDLES, Kamasi Washington, and Arctic Monkeys among others. She Drew The Gun recently performed at the 6Music Festival in Liverpool alongside artists including Hot Chip, The Good, The Bad & The Queen, Anna Calvi and Jon Hopkins and have been confirmed to appear at Live in Leeds, Latitude, Glastonbury, Tramlines, Bluedot, Truck, Boomtown, Farmfest and Deer Shed festivals.
