Following the release of their acclaimed album Antisocialites, Alvvays have announced a EU tour starting February 2018, and new single ‘Not My Baby’. The run takes in 17 new shows, including the band’s largest London headline to date at The Roundhouse on 23rd February. Tickets will be on sale this Wednesday 8th of November at www.alvvays.com
Alvvays recently finished a series of EU headline and festival dates to celebrate the release of Antisocialites, including a sold-out gig at London’s KOKO. In a review of the show, the Evening Standard said: “dream-pop may have found its new flag bearers”.
Since its release Antisocialites has received similar acclaim to their first record, with Pitchfork saying “Alvvays have sharpened their focus without losing sight of themselves” and Observer claiming their “songwriting wit sparkles throughout”. The record also helped the band achieve their highest UK chart entry, hitting the top 30 on the week of release.
The album contains three BBC Radio 6 Music playlist singles; ‘In Undertow’, ‘Dreams Tonite’ and ‘Not My Baby’. Alvvays recently unveiled the video for ‘Dreams Tonite’, which finds the band transported into archive footage of Montreal’s Expo ‘67. Watch now on YouTube.
Antisocialites is out now via Transgressive Records / [PIAS].
