If you haven’t been to the annual Amsterdam Dance Event, you’re really missing out. Spread across 80 venues in the Dutch capital over five days, ADE sees labels, promoters, brands and artists management agencies from across the globe throw over 300 parties featuring over 2000 acts – making it the biggest club festival in the world. Combined with an industry conference during the day, it’s one of biggest weeks in the dance music calendar.

Parties range from KOMPAKT’s free pop-up in-store showcases at Oz in the Red Light District, to Carl Cox’s annual blowout in the techno behemoth that is Gashouder (a venue in the bowels of an old gasholder), to the final ADE sessions at the city’s most acclaimed club Trouw (a former newspaper printing plant – it’s closing after New Year’s), with something to suit every flavour.
