Isle Of Wight’s Bestival has today announced the arrival of a brand new stage to the festival. The ‘Spaceport’ will feature a 20 metre tall rocket at its centre, as well as a state-of-the-art db audio array processing sound system (apparently that’s a good ‘un) – futuristic stuff!
Headlining the Spaceport will be DJ extraordinaire Fatboy Slim, as well as Diplo and rave pioneer Carl Cox.
Of the stage, Rob Da Bank says:
“Be under no illusions my futuristic friends… This stage is going to blow your mind and take you interstellar like no other stage before… This is The Future of the dance. HMS Bestival, our trusty old ship, has sunk or otherwise been sucked down a Bermuda Triangle shaped whirlpool, and thus we are reinventing Robin Hill’s sacred rave space once more with a spaceship the likes Planet Earth has never witnessed.”
The Spaceport’s full line up will be announced very soon, plus one more main stage headliner.
Bestival takes place 8-11 September. More tickets and info here.
