Newcastle Upon-Tyne’s Beth Jeans Houghton has revealed details of a name change, alongside the announcement of a brand new album and UK tour dates.
Formerly known as Beth Jeans Houghton, the twenty-five year old singer/songwriter is now creating music under the name of DU BLONDE.
Speaking about her controversial name change, she said: “DU BLONDE is a new incarnation and one step closer to assuming my ultimate form. Having freed myself from the rusty and bloody shackles of Beth Jeans Houghton – both musically and spiritually – I felt it only right to step forth under a new name and let the rituals commence.”
Exclusive details of DU BLONDE’s forthcoming studio album, thought to be released in spring 2015, are yet to be revealed, but stay tuned for more information.
DU BLONDE will make her first live debut at London’s Roundhouse Rising Festival and Roundhouse Studios on February 20th, which will then be followed by her performance at 6Music Festival 2015 on February 22nd in Newcastle Upon-Tyne.
