Blaenavon share ‘Prague ’99’ EP

Indie-kids, Blaenavon have released a four-track EP via Transgressive.

The Prague ‘99 EP features the already-well-loved track of the same name, as well as ‘A Death In The Family’, ‘12’ and ‘The Monte Carlo Kid’.

According to The Line Of Best Fit, the three latter songs were all penned at various points in the bands’ career – meaning that Prague 99 is steeped in Blaenavon history, making the EP a must-listen for any fan under the sun.

Speaking about the title-track, Ben Gregory from the band said: “Whenever we play it – whether amazingly or shite, to thousands or to no-one, it feels important.  It’s been a game-changer for us and for the people that care about our music.”

Moving on to talk about the other songs listed on the EP, Gregory continued  “In the three B-sides we’ve offered you an insight into our diversity.  ‘The Monte Carlo Kid’ is spritely, ridiculous, but till a humungous tune.  ‘A Death In The Family’ is an old fan favourite that meant too much to us to let slip away, whilst ‘12’ is the saddest song I’ll ever write.  A true ‘fuck my life’.  Enjoy.”
