Bouts share new single ‘Face Up’

Dublin’s Bouts have shared ‘Face Up’, the lead single from their forthcoming second album, Flow. It comes five years after the release of their debut LP, Nothing Good Gets Away, and proves that the band have lost none of their skill or momentum when it comes to making catchy indie anthems.

Premiered by The Line Of Best Fit, the new track – as frontman Barry Bracken puts it – is “a no-filter, punch the air plea for staring things down and pushing on through”. It’s this attitude that has kept the band together, despite members relocating to Amsterdam and London since their formation in 2011. Bouts have been championed by BBC 6 Music’s Lauren Laverne, and they’ve shared stages with Cloud Nothings, Yuck, and Johnny Marr.

Their second album Flow was recorded by Fiachra McCarthy (Squarehead, Shrug Life, Switzerland, The Run Ons),
mixed by Jesse Gander (Japandroids, White Lung, Sweat Threats) and mastered by TJ Lipple (Bats, Jogging) – so it’s set to be another impressive collection of feel-good, clean sounding indie tunes. Keep your eyes peeled for the release date!
