Canada’s Weaves announce second record ‘Wide Open’

Four-piece Weaves have revealed their second album; Wide Open, will be released into the world on October 6, via Memphis Industries.

Guitarist of the Canadian powerhouse, Morgan Waters, said that the recording of Wide Open was “mostly based around live off the floor playing with all four of us, as we tried to navigate a balance between thinking and not thinking,’

The conversation, reported by DIY Mag, continued to highlight that the band don’t cry to control their creative flow: “Sometimes it’s better that we don’t try to control it and there’s something nice about allowing yourself not to be in control.”

Wide Open, the follow-up LP to 2016’s self-titled debut, was recorded with sound engineer Leon Taheny and features eleven tracks including: ‘Law and Panda’, ‘Gasoline’ and ‘#53’.  The latter song is available to listen to below.

As well as detailing their latest studio release, Weaves are also planning to hit the UK hard this November.  The eight-date UK tour will see Weaves performing in cities such as Cambridge, Glasgow, Birmingham, London and Brighton.  See below the Wide Open tracklist for a full list of Weaves UK November shows.
