The Chemical Brothers, The Flaming Lips and Future Islands to headline bluedot 2018

Returning to Jodrell Bank Observatory once again, bluedot has announced The Chemical Brothers, The Flaming Lips and Future Islands as its host of incredible headliners.

Having soundtracked countless euphoric nights for nearly three decades, The Chemical Brothers’ progressive electronica is the perfect fit for Jodrell Bank. With one of the most potent live shows on the planet, their return to the live stage at bluedot is set to be a magical one.

The Flaming Lips return to Jodrell Bank having performed a landmark show at the observatory seven years ago. This year they’ll be blessing bluedot with their weirdo anthems.

Also renowned for their live show, after a US TV performance of ‘Seasons (Waiting On You)’ saw them burst into public consciousness, there’s no doubt Future Islands will be bringing something seriously worth witnessing to bluedot, finishing off a trio of unrivalled headliners.

The Halle Orchestra will be opening the doors to the festival, kicking off the new four-day format, with Blue Planet In Concert. Elsewhere, Public Service Broadcasting, Gary Numan, Nadine Shah, Hookworms, To Kill A King and tonnes more are set to play, and the full lineup still to be announced, it’s bound to be a spectacular year at bluedot.
