Citadel is welcoming Tame Impala on their only UK summer appearance and, to make the festival even more noteworthy, have inducted Chvrches, Sam Fender and Leon Bridges to join the party.
Taking place on Sunday, June 15, the “ultimate summer Sunday” is already looking like one of the premier events London is holding this summer. As well as the three kooky powerhouses of The Horrors, Shame and the notorious Fat White Family, the likes of Hawkwind, Goat Girl, Isaac Gracie, and La Femme are all suited, booted and roaring to perform at Citadel 2018.
This year will mark the first Citadel taking place at its new home in Gunnersbury Park, London. Previously, the festival has been held at Victoria Park, however, 2018 will see the festivals previous home being taken over my new kid on the block, All Points East. The venue change will hopefully allow avid Citadel goers to try something new, and perhaps showcase a fresh side to the festival.
Chvrches are set to warm up the Citadel stage with the sounds of their forthcoming record Love Is Dead, a performance you definitely do not want to miss out on. If you have not got your mitts on a Citadel ticket yet you have been warned – they are flying out the door.
Citadel Festival 2018 takes place on June 15 at Gunnersbury Park, London. Tickets available via the official site.
