COMPETITION: Your chance to remix Georgie Bird’s single ‘Walls’

Meet Georgie Bird. She’s a fresh, up & coming singer/songwriter who is making fans in all the right places. Her debut single ‘Easy To Go’ was supported by a number of platforms, including the likes of BBC Introducing and her latest single ‘Walls’ has has received even more praise. Georgie has already supported world famous artists including Wretch 32, The Feeling, Toploader and Toyah Wilcox in her short career, proving that she’s got what it takes to mix it with the big names. Now, we’ve partnered up with Georgie to give you the chance to remix ‘Walls’.

We’re looking for a producer to put their stamp on the track and make it their own in the hope of unearthing some of the brightest creative talent around. The winner of the competition, which will be judged by a select Gigslutz panel as well as Georgie herself, will have their track serviced across regional & national radio (BBC Radio 1/1xtra, Capital & Kiss) with the potential to be played out to millions of listeners and it will also be included as part of Georgie’s next release.

Talking about the track, Georgie said, “Walls is written about every infuriating person I’ve ever known. Every person I would do anything for, and although deep down, they must know that, they still seem set upon holding back, keeping secrets and pushing me to the limit.”

So if you think you’ve got what it takes to impress the panel and create a piece of musical magic, download the stems for the track here and get to it. Once you’ve completed your track please upload it to the Gigslutz SoundCloud page here by the closing date of Sunday 14th February and make sure you include #GigslutzRemixComp in the title. Please ensure that downloads are disabled on your track as remixes can not be distributed without the permission of the original artists.
