Daye Jack enlists Killer Mike to share this important message with their new video ‘Hands Up’

2015 was a year to forget Stateside but the number of high-profile incidents in areas such as Ferguson and Chicago should not be forgotten and now, two generations of Atlanta Hip Hop have collaborated to raise global awareness on the struggle.

They voice their concerns in new track ‘Hands Up’, where 20-year old Daye Jack and veteran rap legend and one half of Run The Jewels, Killer Mike shine as they tackle the polarizing conversation to uplift a pained community. These gritty visuals directed by David Gallardo (Of Monsters Of Men, Young Jeezy, Jhene Aiko) are expertly pieced together and add weight to the already loaded message.

“The montage served as a way to show that despite the tragic subject matter, it brought people together from all walks of life in solidarity about something that should not be tolerated” explains Gallardo.

Already picked up by tastemakers in the states the pair hope to gain a global reach now the video is out. We’re definitely fans of this, so make sure you check out the video below and follow Daye Jack and Killer Mike on Twitter to keep up to date with all the latest news on their campaign.
