Dead Pretties and Crewel Intentions will support POND in London

With POND’s residency at Bethnal Green’s Working Men’s Club looming ever-closer, the bands support acts have been revealed in the form of Dead Pretties, Crewel Intentions and more.

Dubbed the ‘Fire In The Water’ residency, Australia’s POND will play three nights at the Working Men’s Club in Bethnal Green.  The first 100 people through the doors (on what we expect each night) will receive a special edition 7” record, thanks to Marathon/Rough Trade Records.

Taking place between August 28-30, the ‘Fire In the Water’ residency will feature POND as the main headline act, with a plethora of support acts performing on each night.

The first POND stint in Bethnal Green, on August 28, will see new Rough Trade-signings, Honey Hah’s bringing their noise to the Working Men’s Club, followed by a DJ set from Birmingham’s Swim Deep.

With the residency in full-swing, the second night (29) will be all about Crewel Intentions (that’s Chilli Jesson’s new band, don’t you know) while the third and final show (30) will feature the band on everybody’s tongues, Dead Pretties, who could put on a performance outshining the main act.  Also on the 30, expect to see YAK’s Elliot Rawson on the DJ decks.

The POND residency is seriously increasing in heat by the day; if you were lucky enough to grab tickets then you are in for a seriously tart treat!
