The wait is over: the pioneering duo, Disclosure, have unveiled details surrounding their second album.
Caracal, the follow-up record to 2013’s Settle, will be released on September 25th via PMR / Island Records. The second LP announcement from Disclosure coincides with their headline slot at their own event, Wild Life Festival.
Although exclusive information surrounding Caracal has yet to be revealed, it is thought that the previously released DJ-set staple, ‘Bang That’ and latest single, ‘Holding On’ – which arrives on July 17th – will feature on the tracklist. The Lawrence brothers sophomore album will also see guest performances from Kwabs, Nao and Lion Babe, with many more to be announced.
Where the album title is concerned (a Caracal being a medium-sized wild cat) Howard Lawrence said, “it [the album title, Caracal] felt like a perfect fit for our Wild Life brand (too), so the Caracal made perfect sense as the lead visual for the new album and over the course of recording – it also felt like a natural title for the record too”.
If this wasn’t enough, Disclosure have also announced a mammoth show at LA’s Memorial Sports Hall on September 29th, followed by (what is sure to be) an unforgettable show at New York’s Madison Square Garden, on October 24th. Bearing this in mind: how long will it be until Disclosure take themselves on the roads of the UK once again? Time is ticking, and the announcement is inevitably coming soon.
Hold on to your hats, this is going to be one hectic ride!
