Ones To Watch: Dorey The Wise

To call an unsigned band the future kings of indie may be a somewhat far-fetched idea but, where Dorey The Wise are concerned, there couldn’t be a more fitting claim.

Taking the typical components of indie rock and splashing them with post-punk, Dorey The Wise – a four-piece from Hastings, East Sussex -are an extremely innovative outfit, bursting with passion and boasting sheer, raw talent.

Tracks such as ‘Tidal Wave’ and Dorey The Wise’s latest offering, ‘Brave New Light’, have started to create ripples of excitement in the music world, due to the band’s unique blend of alternative/indie rock with a light punk influence.

Easily sounding like something which could have been dreamt up during The Maccabees’ Colour It In era, ‘Brave New Light’ is a breathtaking song, proving this band are well on track to becoming the group to watch in 2015.

Dorey The Wise can only get better and, while the year matures, their name is going to be the one cropping up time and time again. It won’t be long before the rest of the UK jumps on this fantastic four-piece; you heard it here first.

‘Brave New Light’ is out 15th March, have a listen to it below:
