Ebony Buckle gives us an insight into her own imaginary world in ‘Susan’

Australian born, London based quirky pop artist Ebony Buckle takes us on an enchanting night out in the new visuals for ‘Susan’. Her latest release, which has been making waves for it’s contagiously eccentric lyrics and delicious pop melodies, bursts with creativity and imagination. Written as an ode to her imaginary best friend, Susan the Raptor, the track showcases Buckle’s soulful vocals and ability to craft uplifting, feel good music.

The new visuals for ‘Susan’ do not lack in originality. The fantastical video takes us on a night out with Buckle, Susan and friends, bringing London to life through kaleidoscopic colours and illuminous lights. The songwriter shares, “Susan was born one night after too much prosecco and the name just stuck. She is the carefree, risk-taking and sometimes reckless side of me. I think we are all made up of many different personalities and I just decided to name one of mine! Mostly we wanted to make a really joyful track that would make people smile”.

The Australian songstress has been compared to the likes of Regina Spektor, Kate Bush and Imogen Heap. ‘Susan’ is a beautiful concoction of whimsical left-field pop and infectious folk, with an extra serving of Buckle’s sparkling personality.
