EP: Pip Blom – ‘Are We There Yet?’

Living in Amsterdam at the age of 20, Pip Blom writes and produces her own music which can be found somewhere in between indie and raw alt rock. She has the same edge and charm as other female-led bands like Letters to Cleo and 4 Non Blondes… But with her own unique sound.

Combining edgy guitar riffs with storytelling vocals, Blom’s upcoming EP Are We There Yet? includes three tracks – all offering up something completely different.

Opening track ‘Taxi Driver’ leaves a lasting impression with its edgy dual guitar riffs and storytelling lyrics whilst ‘Honey’  – the highlight of the collection – is a fearless love song with seductively slurred vocals, and closing number ‘Alone’ leaves you pensive with its stripped back, fragile sound.

Pip Blom started releasing material earlier this year, and has already caught the attention of BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, as well as BBC 6Music’s Steve Lamacq. She’s one to watch next year for sure, but if you can’t wait then you can catch her live next week:

28 September – Maguires Pizza Bar, Liverpool
29 September – New Cross Inn, London
30 September – Take 5, Norwich

Are We There Yet? will be released on 28 September 2016 via Toaster Records.
