EP Premiere: DUSK – ‘Visions’

Ahead of it’s release tomorrow, Gigslutz are treating you with DUSK’s ethereal debut EP Visions.

If you’re a fan of Portishead’s brooding melodies, London Grammar’s strong vocals and Massive Attack’s trip-hop, then get yourself listening to DUSK. Visions is like a celestial rollercoaster, taking you on wild journey between the heavier ‘Dali’ and ‘Weightless’ that’ll earworm into your head, before surrendering to the dreamy ‘Constellations’ that’ll leave you helplessly swaying along. They’re a band that’ve found their forte, and aren’t scared to pull out all the stops to make the music they want to make.

DUSK are a five-piece based in Leeds, made up of Holly Matthews (vocals), Nathan Francey (bass), Sarah Hayes (keys & backing vocals) and Dom Reed (drums). They may have only released a few tracks as of yet, but they’ve already played both Reading & Leeds Festivals having won themselves a slot on the BBC Introducing Stage through Futuresound last year.

If you’re wanting to hear even more, DUSK will be headlining Leeds’ Lending Room tomorrow as part of Independent Venues Week. Their EP release show will also see them joined by Glass Mountain, Fighting Caravans and Sam Wilde. Tickets are available here.
