EP REVIEW: Great Good Fine OK 'Body Diamond'

This band is more than Great Good Fine OK… The words are woefully inaccurate to describe them. I think I fell in love with them just a little while reviewing this EP and was hooked on the dreamy music complimenting the vocals within one listen. This Brooklyn duo – Jon Sandler (singer/songwriter) and Luke Moellman (multi-instrumentalist/producer) – finished their first track in one night. Impressive, huh? Despite having only been together for a year Body Diamond gives the impression that they’ve been doing this forever. In the vein of the likes of MGMT and New York’s The Ballet, they have an infectious, electro pop sound to them.

The first two tracks on the EP, ‘You’re The One For Me’ and ‘Not Going Home’ have already enjoyed success in their own right and are joined by the equally great, ‘By My Side’ and ‘Say It All’. This is an accomplished debut, with the video for ‘You’re The One For Me’ already being screened on the likes of MTV. I can only look forward to what else this duo can came up with and hope that they make it across the Atlantic to grace us with their presence in the UK soon.
