EXCLUSIVE: Nubiyan Twist premiere ‘Figure Numatic’ Paper Tiger remix

Having performed alongside the likes of De La Soul, Bonobo, Robert Glasper Experiment and Gentlemen’s Dub Club, Leeds 12-piece Nubiyan Twist are no strangers to success. Their eponymous debut album, which was released earlier this year, drew huge praise from the media and fans alike and we are delighted to be able to bring you an exclusive premiere for a remix of the band’s track ‘Figure Numatic’.

Taken from the forthcoming EP Nubiyan Twist: The Remixes, which is set for release on 16th October, this remix comes courtesy of fellow Leeds residents Paper Tiger and offers a much more bassy and electronically influenced sound when compared to the more traditionally Hip Hop vibes that can be heard on the original.

papertigerStating that ”the band strives to encourage artistic and social unity between different cultures and musical styles”, Nubiyan Twist are clearly a group with an immensely bright future ahead of them. With the release of their remix package, which features the likes of Dubmatix, Ed West and Wonky Logic as well as this track from Paper Tiger, they are sure to push the boundaries of musical styles even further than they already have and we are certainly looking forward to seeing what’s next to come from them at the end of 2015 and into the new year.
