The first single taken from his upcoming album, Kids, Pat Dam Smyth has paired the beautifully moody ‘Juliette’ with a new video, premiering exclusively on Gigslutz.
Harrowing, the video floats somewhere between a horror movie and a super-stylish perfume ad, yet with a narrative that transcends both. Despite it’s brooding darkness, ‘Juliette’ is a glimmer of hope, the song’s protagonist a symbol for escaping violent situations. More than anything, however, ‘Juliette’ is compelling. An ode to Pat’s storytelling, ‘Juliette’ is addictive – a taste of what is set to be an album nothing short of enchanting.
