Indie-pop outfit Youth Club are due to release their new single ‘Sorry’ at the end of September, and it’s set to be as exciting and infectious as their previous tracks. We’re partial to the sound of the Southend four-piece here at Gigslutz, so when we received an invitation to join the band on set for their video shoot at Rawlight Studios, we couldn’t refuse.
Carousel Films caught everything on camera, and photographer Mark Rutherford was there to capture the moments in between. Without giving too much away; the video’s narrative is centred around the band being ‘Sorry’ for the way they treated their ex-girlfriends. Meanwhile, their ex-girlfriends are able to gain closure by screaming, shouting, and sucker-punching them – revenge for romantic betrayal has never looked or sounded so sweet.
Enjoy the exclusive pictures below, and keep your eyes and ears open for Youth Club’s new single at the end of the month. Follow the band on Facebook for updates!
Drummer Rees is rocking the black eye make-up
Bruises don’t phase vocalist Gerrard
Danny’s too busy playing guitar to feel the pain
Hell hath no fury like these women scorned
Careful Joe, those guns are loaded…
…that’s more like it
It’s all fun and games…
…until our Associate Editor channels her inner Rocky at Danny
