EXCLUSIVE: Sir Apollo premiere new track ‘Friends With Benefits’ on Gigslutz

Brought together by the love of moving the masses through the medium of sound, meet Khuddus, Imran, Jonny, Jayesh and Ben aka Sir Apollo.

Having released debut self-titled EP in early 2013 and following a little hiatus since then, the group are back and have shared some brand new music. Off the back of featuring on tracks with artists such as Maxsta & J2K recently, Sir Apollo have shared a brand new single of their own titled ‘Friends with Benefits’, which is taken from their upcoming EP Here We Go Again.

Capturing the sound of young London, ‘Friends with Benefits’ is about the drama of being in a friends with benefits relationship. Produced by Ayo Beatz, the track is packed full of rock and indie influences, with a prominent lead guitar and powerful vocal from front man Khuddus. The fun, slightly tongue in cheek lyrics, with live band production, makes Sir Apollo stand out from the crowd, bringing a listenable and relatable song. Having found that balance between alt. hip hop, indie pop and urban swag, they are a breath of fresh air to the UK music scene as a whole.

The lads are school/university friends and with their new material they’ll be expanding on their unique brand of alt. hiphop, indie-rock, as well as fusing in electronic and dance music influences. We love it here, but check out ‘Friends With Benefite’ below and let us know what you guys think via Twitter and Facebook.
