THIS FEELING ALIVE INTERVIEW: SHEAFS

Born off the back off This Feeling club nights and festival stages, This Feeling – Alive tour, sees headliners Bang Bang Romeo, The Shimmer Band and Blackwaters head out around the UK, supported by more of the best new bands around, to celebrate indie music in 2017 and the power of new bands.

Ahead of the tour, we’re catching up with all the bands involved to find out what makes them tick. Next up, playing York Fibbers, are Sheafs…

Describe the band in 3 words.

In your face.

And what can people expect from your live shows?

Movement, if you’re not moving we’re doing something wrong.

Funniest gig/tour experience?

Party In The Pines was an interesting one. We ended up with about 100 people on stage for the last song and nearly broke the stage. Security weren’t too happy with us…

Who would be on your ideal festival lineup (to play alongside)?

Rolling Stones, Cage The Elephant, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Black Keys & Superhans DJ Set.

What song do you wish you’d written?

Kasabian – ‘Club Foot’

Who should we be listening to at the moment?

Strange Bones, Shame, The Blinders, Hidden Charms, Himalayas, Blackwaters, Breed, the list could go on for days…

Why are promoters/nights like This Feeling so important?

Absolutely huge for bands like ourselves, given us opportunities to get ourselves out there. Guaranteed to have a class night at any This Feeling event and you’ll probably discover a new favourite band.

Sheafs play York Fibbers w/ Bang Bang Romeo, The Shimmer Band
and Blackwaters on 5 October. For tickets and info on other dates visit
