THIS FEELING ALIVE INTERVIEW: VIDA

Born off the back off This Feeling club nights and festival stages, This Feeling – Alive tour, sees headliners Bang Bang Romeo, The Shimmer Band and Blackwaters head out around the UK, supported by more of the best new bands around, to celebrate indie music in 2017 and the power of new bands.

Ahead of the tour, we’re catching up with all the bands involved to find out what makes them tick. Today, we chat to Vida who join the headliners in Glasgow…

Describe the band in 3 words

100% Scottish Beef.

And what can people expect from your live shows?

“All the best components of Britpop under one roof, every lyric is sang back to them. It’s pretty epic to watch; this is like a football-terrace crowd, the kind you would see at a Courteeners or Oasis gig” – _Gigwise_

Funniest gig/tour experience?

Has to be when we were camping  in the artist campsite for the full weekend at Isle of Wight Festival. A weekend full of laughs from start to finish. Good times.

Who would be on your ideal Festival lineup (to play alongside)?

Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys, The View, Liam Gallagher, NGHFB, The Charlatans, Richard Ashcroft, Tame Impala, Pond, Blossoms and any of the This Feeling lot.

What song do you wish you’d written?

‘There She Goes’ by The La’s. Timeless.

Who should we be listening to at the moment?

Neon Waltz – their debut album is hands down one of the best we’ve heard. Immensely talented sound bunch of lads and even better live.

Why are promoters/nights like This Feeling so important?

Spreading the love, sharing the stage and networking with bands who all want the same goal is fundamental at this stage in our career. Keep it coming TF!

The Assist play O2 ABC2, Glasgow w/ Bang Bang Romeo, The Shimmer Band
and Blackwaters on 6 October. For tickets and info on other dates visit
