This Feeling Track of the Day : The Coral ‘Reaching Out For A Friend’

‘Reaching Out For A Friend’ is the warm, fuzzy new single from The CoralThe track is taken from the influential Wirral band’s critically acclaimed top 20 new album ‘Move Through The Dawn’. Upbeat with an earworm melody, it’s a one chorus and you’re hooked ditty – classic Coral.

“Reaching Out For A Friend is about looking for something in common with someone, rather than looking for something to fall out about,” says frontman James Skelly. “But really, the melody came before any thought for the lyrics. It is pure melody, that song.”

The song’s accompanying animated video was directed by Dom Foster in collaboration with The Coral’s drummer Ian Skelly, an accomplished artist responsible for all the band’s artwork. “I’ve been making animation videos with Dom Foster for a few years now,” he says. “I hand drew all the characters and Dom brought them to life I hope everyone loves it as much as we do.”
