A Brief History: Now a staple of the actual British Summer Time, BST is London’s leading music event, hosting the headliners that other festivals could only dream of. This year sees two exclusive full-album performances, with Stevie Wonder playing his masterpiece, Songs In The Key Of Life, from start to finish, and Carole King performing the iconic Tapestry. Former Glastonbury headliners Florence + The Machine and Mumford & Sons follow in the footsteps of Blur and The Rolling Stones, while Take That’s slot could perhaps be one step further towards their Worthy Farm dream…

What We Said Last Year: There was a “euphoric state of ecstasy” from Blur, “tracks from all five albums interwoven seamlessly” from The Strokes and “abundant energy and musicianship” from The Who, to name but a few.

How To Get There: TFL, baby.

Gigslutz Top Tip: The majority of the action happens on the main stage, but there are a couple of others hidden away with some newer bands. Have a wander, and perhaps even a wonder, about.

Memorable Moments: The Rolling Stones return to Hyde Park was always going to be something special, particularly with Mick Taylor joining them on stage (their original Hyde Park date was his first gig with the band).

Did You Know? Not only is Carole King’s date special because it’s the first time she’ll ever play Tapestry in full, it’s also her first UK date for 27 years. Get tickets before they sell out!

How To Get Tickets: Here 🙂
