A Brief History: Born & Bred is run by London promoters Found and this year has joined forces with Rinse FM. Now in its second year, the festival has expanded to become a two-day event, so there will be even more amazing music than last year. Born & Bred celebrates some of the most exciting genres which have defined underground music in London over the past few decades – from Grime, Hip Hop and Drum & Bass to House, Techno, Garage and beyond. It also provides a platform for both rising talents and pioneers in their respective scenes to showcase their sounds.

How To Get There: Being in London, there’s plenty of transport links to get you direct to the festival door. We highly recommend you using public transport rather than driving because there is likely to be no parking in nearby locations and congestion is bound to be ridiculous. Nearest stations include Bethnal Green, Old Street, Hoxton, Shoreditch High Street, Haggerston and Cambridge Heath. You can also get any of these buses: 394, 26, 48, 55, 236, 8, 388.

Gigslutz Top Tip: Once the festival doors close, organisers will be taking over several of their favourite spots in Shoreditch & Dalston to continue the party into the early hours, so keep an eye out for location announcements.

What We’re Most Excited About: Having teamed up for several Rinse shows recently,  the Godfather of Grime aka Wiley and Rinse FM co-founder Slimzee are set to join forces for their first live festival performance. With the promise of some classic Grime bars as well as some huge beats, this is certainly one we won’t be missing. See you at the front!

Did You Know? Born & Bred is one of four London-based festivals organised by Found, with 51st State Festival, Moondance Festival and Found Festival being the other three.
