The Shiiine On Weekender has announced its first wave of acts for 2019.

Friday night’s headliners are iconic Liverpool band The Lightning Seeds. Fronted by Ian Broudie, they’ve achieved no less than twelve top 20 UK hits including bona fide classics ‘Pure’, ‘Change’, ‘Lucky You’ and ‘You Showed Me’. Also playing the Friday Main Stage are Cast who will bring another hit heavy set and one of the best live band around today, Reverend & The Makers

The Saturday will see Embrace headline the Main Stage. The Halifax band are celebrating 20 years of their massive number one debut album ‘The Good Will Out’ this year so expect to hear the hits such as ‘All You Good Good People’ and ‘Come Back To What You Know’from that alongside the huge hits ‘Gravity’ and ‘Ashes’. Steve Mason will also perform on the Saturday. The former Beta Band mainman heads to Shiiine On on the back of the release of one his best albums to date ‘About The Light’.

The Sunday will see two of Stourbridge’s finest, The Wonder Stuff and Pop Will Eat Itselftake to the Main Stage. Also performing the Sunday Main Stage are international hit makers Jesus Jones.

Over on the dance stages there will be performances from Detroit House pioneers, Inner City. Fronted by one of the Belleville 3 Kevin Saunderson the band are performing in the UK for the first time in 20 years.  In an ultra rare live outing Apollo 440 will head up the Friday night dance stage with their unique big beat, trip hop and electronic rock.

This year’s closing party will be headlined by The Farm where they will be joined by Bez and Rowetta from the Happy Mondays who bring their amazing club night “On The 6th Day God Created Manchester”. What an end to the weekend that will be – make sure you book the Monday off work!

It doesn’t stop there! We are also delighted to announce there will be a performance from one of Creation Records finest ever signings – Swervedriver as well as PiL’s Jah Wobble.

Sultans Of Ping will be playing the Saturday evening whilst there will be a live outing from Stephen Jones’s million selling Babybird and The Membranes will bring their acclaimed live show to the festival, accompanied by a choir.
