The follow-up to Frank Turner‘s 2013 album, Tape Deck Heart, has been announced as, Positive Songs For Negative People.
The new record is yet to have a proper release date (nor official artwork) but Turner has revealed that his sixth album “is a record about defiance.” The first taste of what we can expect to sink our teeth into on Positive Songs For Negative People is ‘Get Better’, which can be listened to below.
Speaking about the LP, Turner said in a Facebook post:
“I’m very excited to finally be allowed to bring you all more news of my forthcoming new album. ‘Positive Songs For Negative People’ is a record about defiance, about picking yourself up when you’re down, and the title reflects that,”
He continued to say: “A proper release date, full artwork, singles and videos will all be coming your way very soon. For now, keep your eyes peeled for news of some US live shows landing imminently.”
The record is thought to feature a special performance from Esme Patterson, on a track regarding Christa McAuliffe. ‘The Angel Islington’, a song which begins where the closing track of Tape Deck Heart finished, will also make an apperance
