Get tattooed by Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes with Sailor jerry

Never one to shy away from exhilaration, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes will be hitting the road this December in a special collaboration with Sailor Jerry rum. The pairing will see pre-gig drinks taking place in London, a secret gig in Manchester and allowing the bands’ biggest fans to win the chance to be tattooed with a custom Sailor Jerry sketch, by the frontman himself.

Formally of the Gallows and Pure Love, Frank Carter and Sailor Jerry go way back. Carter previously co-owned a tattoo parlour in the US with Keith Underwood, the last living connection to the father of American old school tattooing, Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins himself.

Due to this deep-rooted history, the brand are teaming up with the band to create a tour quite like no other. With free Jerry & Gingers available for the first 200 people to waltz through venue doors, a once-in-a-lifetime tattooing experience up for grabs and the chance to rub shoulders with The Rattlesnakes at a private soundcheck – this collaboration is seriously made of dreams.

Speaking about the Sailor Jerry partnership via press release, Carter says: “When I first saw Sailor Jerry tattoos, it had the same impact as the first time I heard Black Flag; the first time I saw Descent From The Cross, the first time I watched Apocalypse. Now; suddenly the world made more sense, and I felt like I knew more about myself than I did before.”

The paramount prize up for grabs at the Frank Carter shows is of course the chance to be tattooed by the frontman and tattoo artist himself. “I decided to make some time available on the tour to let people come and see my collection and choose a tattoo to be applied by me.” Says Carter.
