GET TO KNOW: Vocal sensation Juliette Ashby

There are times in life when a certain artist embodies everything that you love about music; stunningly unique vocals, brilliant tracks and an honest, beautiful outlook. Luckily for us, that time has arrived once again and that artist is hugely talented singer/songwriter Juliette Ashby.

Set to release her debut album Over and Over shortly, the London based artist has been captivating crowds with her stand-out vocals at the world’s most renowned festivals, including the Isle of Wight Festival and SXSW, where she gave a standout performance at Perez Hilton’s ‘One Night In Austin Party’ and the ADD52 event, hosted by Def Jam’s Russell Simmons.

Fusing together R&B, Reggae and Neo-Soul, Juliette Ashby has managed to carve out her own individual niche and make music that touches your soul and has real meaning. Not content with simply creating insanely addictive tunes, Juliette also hosts ‘JJ’s Soulshack’, her very own music night at London’s Jazz Cafe which aims to provide a public performance platform and guidance for young undiscovered UK musical talents.

With her forthcoming debut album set to feature the likes of US legend Da Brat, as well as the tracks below and above, it is set to be a huge release and one that is certain to propel Juliette into the musical spotlight. Alongside the album, Juliette will also be sharing an added acoustic album entitled Bittersweet, which is said to be ‘a touching collection of songs dealing with grief and addiction’ and will give us a double dose of her vibrant vocals that should keep us satisfied, for a while at least.

So make sure you stay up to date with all the latest news and info on the album release and everything else Juliette Ashby by following the lady herself on Twitter and Facebook. Juliette Ashby is 100% an artist you do not want to miss this year; just remember where you heard about her first…
