Gigslutz attempts to cleanse its soul; 5 reasons to visit Wanderlust

When Wanderlust 108 stops in Victoria Park (London) this Saturday (23rd September) it will bring together lovers of yoga, wellbeing and mindfulness, as well as people who appreciate good food and music…

Wanderlust 108 is a full day celebration in support of the mindful movement, featuring a triathlon unlike any you’ve ever known. Three intentional activities: a 5K run/walk, an outdoor yoga flow class, and a guided meditation.

Nationally recognized teachers, spiritual leaders, and musical talent are featured to make for a fun-filled, empowering day both on and off your mat. From DJs on the main stage to local vendors offering organic food and crafts, and charitable organizations making an impact in your local community.

Enjoy a different day out. You know that hungover feeling on a Sunday morning after a booze filled gig or festival? Not gonna happen at Wanderlust! You’ll probably feel super smug after completing the 5k run/walk, a yoga class and guided meditation by midday.

Discover the Kula market. From organic beauty products to locally designed apparel, the Kula Market seeks artisans, jewellery makers, designers, and others to share their unique products and services with the Wanderlust community. Who doesn’t like a bit of outdoor market browsing?

Food. This is not your standard festival grub. Wanderlust only accepts organic food vendors and this years’ London event offers vegan burgers, gluten-free baked treats, wood fired oven pizza, juices, protein shakes and much more.

There’s of course some music too. One of the acts during yoga and meditation is Arli Liberman. He played in one of the Middle East’s first world fusion bands made up of both Palestinian and Israeli musicians, performing on the revered stages of Montreux Jazz Festival to the desert sands of Sinai, cross-continent Wanderlust appearances to Russia’s Creation of Peace Festival. The second artist that has been announced for Saturday is DJ Taz Rashid, he has been producing and part of creating mindful events globally over the last few years and as a musician, he plays guitar, keyboard, Native American Flute, didgeridoo and hand percussion

Sun. The weather forecast is great for Saturday, 19 degrees and sunshine! Might be one of the last days of the year to boost our Vitamin D and I can’t wait to spend it outside, while being active, enjoying some yummy food and probably doing a bit of shopping.

Hopefully see you on Saturday for inspiring teachers, uplifting activities & tasty treats!
