It’s a new month, and the Gigslutz team have selected four new music videos from a range of diverse artists for your viewing pleasure! Kicking off this month’s vote are Cardiff-based noise rockers, Joanna Gruesome.
‘Pretty Fucking Sick (Of It All)’ is the band’s first release since the departure of their former vocalist Alanna McArdle. With the help of two new additions; Kate Stonestreet and Roxy Brennan, Joanna Gruesome recorded the track on a boat in London, and have made the following statement about the song: “It is influenced by our recent U.S tour, during which the CIA took a special interest in the group’s movements. [It’s a song about attempting to] destroy binary conceptions of gender through ritual hexing”.
The accompanying video is shot in monochrome and directed by Roxanne Clifford. Watch, enjoy – and don’t forget to vote!
