Revealed via Twitter, Grandaddy, are in the studio recording their latest album.
The record, which is apparently still in the recording stages, will be the bands first since Just Like the Fambly Cat‘, which was released before the group announced their split, way back in 2006.
The statement, posted via Grandaddy’s lead singer, Jason Iytle, on Twitter reads:
“ While tracking new GD LP….need to remind myself no song on sophtware slump had more than 20 tracks…. 16 on the average!”
In the tweet, Iytle of course refers to Grandaddy’s 2000 LP, The Sophtware Slump.
More news to follow Grandaddy’s return to the studio is sure to follow.
