HAIM release new song and video ‘Hallelujah’

HAIM release poignant new track ‘Hallelujah,’ a reflective ballad about gratitude out now on Polydor Records.

“Why me, how’d I get this Hallelujah?” the band ask as they consider how fortunate they are to have the love of family, friends and each other. ‘Hallelujah’ is their first song co-written with friend and fellow musician/songwriter Tobias Jesso Jr. (Adele, Sia, Florence & The Machine) and it was produced by Ariel Rechtshaid, Rostam Batmanglij and Danielle Haim.

HAIM have also shared the official video for ‘Halleujah,’ directed by longtime collaborator Paul Thomas Anderson.

Speaking about the track, Danielle Haim reveals, “We’ve always wanted to write a song about our bond as sisters.”  ‘Hallelujah’ premiered today on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show on Apple Music. It’s the latest single from the band following their recent singles, ‘Now I’m In It,’ which DIY called an “emotionally charged new bop,” and ‘Summer Girl,’ which Clash hailed as “an incredibly catchy return, a soaring, highly positive piece of summer-fresh guitar pop” while The Face simply described it as “breezy and beautiful.”
