Hijacker Record update – Headliner revealed for UV Festival

We’ve had a good few weeks here at UV Festival, having been chosen in Top 5 Micro Festivals in London by both Grazia and the Evening Standard. Now, we are proud to announce our headliner for the festival is none other than Throwing Snow!

London based migrant Ross Tones makes music under the ever so pertinent moniker Throwing Snow. Drawing influences from a vast array of genres his productions have a consistent comforting warmth yet glistening coldness.

Following his compelling debut on Alex Nut’s Ho_Tep he has remixed the likes of Gold Panda, Sinden and Eskmo resulting in radio support from tastemakers Gilles Peterson, Mary Anne Hobbs and Benji B. 2011 saw critically acclaimed releases on Raffertie’s label Super, with hotly tipped vocalist PY, Jamie Russel’s Sneaker Social Club and Local Action, which was subsequently picked up by Radiohead’s Tom Yorke.

Following on from two applauded EPs on his own Snowfall imprint last year, and the unveiling of a sought after live set, the now RBMA Academy alumna has been kept busy touring Europe with Bonobo, playing festivals from Horizon to Field Day and supporting the likes of Atoms for Peace and Thundercat. But despite this very active first half of 2013 eagerly awaited new content from his debut album, forthcoming on Fabric’s Houndstooth, can be expected this winter.

Make sure you get your tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment:
