Hit The North Festival 2019 Reveals Full Lineup

Hit The North returns to Newcastle city centre in 2019 with an outstanding full lineup led by Jake Bugg, Tom Grennan, Shame and many more.

More acts from the area who join the bill on the latest announcement include Newcastle acts FEVA, Swine Tax, Tall Shaves, Hector Gannet and A Festival, A Parade. Meanwhile Sunderland and Teesside will be strongly represented by the likes of PLAZA and Roxy Girls.

The final instalment of confirmed Hit The North acts reaffirms this with new faces on the bill including Brighton’s Our Girl and Parisian band Juniore.

The festival takes over Newcastle City Centre on the first May bank holiday weekend of 2019 and features opening parties on Friday 3rd May from Sundara Karma, Metronomy and Futureheads. This sets the scene for a full day of live music across an assortment of the city’s premier music venues on 5th May.

Ireland and Scotland are leading the charge when it comes to producing some of the hottest new performers and a strong selection will be playing Hit The North 2019. Ireland’s diverse musical output is well represented with Soak, Kojacque, The Academic and more. Meanwhile Scottish performers such as The Dunts, Alligator and LUCIA are bound to be standouts at the event this year.

More international bands in the fold include Dutch group Pip Blom who DIY have dubbed “one of the most exciting rock bands to come out of the Netherlands in recent years.” Coming from even further afield are American acts like Mini Mansions and Australia’s Body Type.

The North East based music festival continues to unreservedly celebrate the region’s thriving music scene with the likes of The Lake Poets, Jamie Lee Harrison and Dylan Cartlidge being at the forefront of previous announcements.

Early Bird tickets and and tickets to the Opening Party for Futureheads have already sold out. However, tickets the festival are on sale now for the competitive price of £37.50 along with limited availability remaining for Opening Parties from Sundara Karma and Metronomy.
