So, today is International Women’s Day – a day when all women, the world over, are celebrated and celebrating. On the 8th March, annually, events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate achievements. And, there’s certainly plenty to celebrate.

Although it took NME twenty years to recognise a woman as a ‘Godlike Genius’ (good on you, Blondie), women have been creating wonderful sounds and shaping the world of music for just as long as men. So, here at Gigslutz, we thought we’d take this opportunity to show our gratitude for some of our favourite ladies in the business, by creating the soundtrack for your International Women’s Day:  from women who’ve been shaking things up for over fifty years, to those who are currently creating their own inspirational legacies.
