iTunes Releases Collection of The Beatles’ Rarities

iTunes are set to release a collection of 59 tracks of The Beatles’ rarities and bootlegs from 1963 today (December 17) in an effort to beat bootleggers and protect the songs copyright. The album, which will remain online indefinitely, includes 15 studio outtakes and 44 live BBC recordings.

EU copyright states that unreleased songs remain within copyright for five decades. The release marks the 50th anniversary of the recordings and will keep those pesky bootleggers at bay.
