JANGO FLASH HEADLINE WITH SUPPORT FROM ‘TV DEATH’ & ‘TRUNK’

Following their sold out show at Newcastle Castle,  Indie Rockers Jango Flash head to
Newcastle’s hot new music stop The Lubber Fiend this Thursday (July 28th), as they prepare
to blow minds and start a riot with their second hometown headline party.

Just off the bus from their northern sell-out tour late last year with fellow riff-makers The Pale
White, Jango Flash are setting the tone for a manic hot summer with their signature
eccentric performance style and setlist of fan favourites (plus a new song or two…).

Fronted by producer and songwriter Jack Angus Golightly, and taking their musical cues from
the likes of The Clash, The Strokes, Empire of The Sun and The Cribs, the band’s feverish
indie licks have already won early acclaim across the press landscape via key indie titans The
Line Of Best Fit and Clash, whilst spins on the BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and Radio
airwaves have certainly solidified their rising status as one of the North East’s hottest
prospects.

Joined at The Lubber Fiend by local garage outfit TV Death & leeds-based rockers Trunk, the
bands are set to bring a night of high volume and high energy to The Lubber Fiend this week.
TV Death are a visceral post-punk/psychedelic monster mash from Newcastle, who transmit
their own brand of potent garage rock and deliver dark lyrics with a distinct sharp abrasiveness.
Trunk hail from the alt-rock northern hub of Leeds, and these newcomers are ready to hit
audiences with a wave of chaos and razor sharp riffs.

Speaking ahead of the Lubber Fiend gig, Jango Flash’s frontman and chief songsmith
Jack Golightly said:

“Jango Flash has always been about building memorable live experiences
that stay with the audience.

With this show, we wanted to work with both a venue and musicians that we love, who share
similar values to ourselves. Both TV Death and Trunk are bands that we love and respect in
their approach to creating and performing fresh, exciting music.

The Lubberfiend’s very open ethos as a venue is built around championing the arts community
in the North East and providing the public high calibre alternative nights that you almost
certainly wouldn’t get anywhere else in the region. This is exactly why we want to host our
second instalment of Jango Flash events in this amazing industrial space!

We will be playing new material at this show too ahead of our EP release later this year! We
can’t wait to be with everyone on the 28th July and celebrate what the North has to offer”.

With bangers like the behemoth single ‘My Mercedes’ and hard-hitting new track ‘Over Supply’
on the setlist for Thursday, Jango Flash are promising a night of pure class entertainment for all
who dare.
