Jenny Wilson reveals ‘EXORCISM’ tracklist

Sweden’s leading lady, Jenny Wilson is back with her first record in 5 years – welcome to the world of EXORCISM.

Not afraid to bare it all, Wilson’s forthcoming record rawly details her experience in dealing with a terrifying act of sexual assault, in the same period of time that the 42-year-old was recovering from breast cancer treatment.

The trauma that Wilson has endured has been translated into sheer beauty.  In a statement, Wilson said she “wanted to take back what I’d lost.  I had to get rid of what was hurting me.”

As well as announcing EXORCISM, which is out April 20 via Gold Medal Recordings, Wilson has unleashed the first harrowing single from the album – ‘RAPIN*’.  The track itself is a harrowing listen and we must advise that the nature of the video is as equally distressing.  Wilson has caused passion to come from scathing pain.  Her bravery is unparalleled.

The LP itself features tracks such as ‘DISRESPECT IS UNIVERSAL’, YOUR ANGRY BIBLE’, FOREVER IS A LONG TIME’ and ‘IT’S LOVE AND I’M SCARED’.

The full statement which Wilson released alongside ‘RAPIN*’, as well as EXORCISM’s tracklist can be seen below.

Jenny Wilson ‘RAPIN*’ statement:

“This is the most difficult thing I’ve ever done.  In so many ways.  At first, I actually didn’t know if I even wanted to go on with music anymore. Then, something terrible happened to me.  I ended up at a crossroads.  Either silent – or speaking. It was not an easy choice. I didn’t want to talk. I didn’t manage to talk. But I had to talk.  Not to bring justice or take revenge. Nothing is ever as easy as it seems. I wanted to take back what I’d lost. I had to get rid of what was hurting me.”
