Johnny Marr Details November UK Tour Dates

He is officially back in the game for 2018, Johnny Marr has announced he will be heading out on a 13-date UK tour in November.  The dates are in aid of his forthcoming solo record, Call The Comet.

Marr will head out on a tour of the UK, stopping off in cities such as Bath, Brighton, Newcastle Upon-Tyne and Cardiff, throughout November 2018.  The dates kick off on November 1, where Marr will perform at Belfast’s Ulster Hall, before moving on to Dublin’s National Stadium (2) UEA in Norwich (4) and the O2 Institute in Birmingham (5).

The tour is set to conclude with a penultimate show at Liverpool’s O2 Academy (17) and a massive homecoming gig at Manchester’s O2 Apollo on November 18.

The album, Call The Comet, will be Marr’s third solo record – following The Messenger (2013), Playland (2014) as well as live record Adrenalin Baby – Johnny Marr Live (2015)

In a press release, Call The Comet is set (according to Marr), “in the not-too-distant future and is mostly concerned with the idea of an alternative society,”

“The characters in the songs are searching for a new idealism, although there are some personal songs in there too. It’s something that people like me can relate to.”

Tickets for Johnny Marr’s November tour dates will be on sale here from Friday, June 1.   See below for the full list of tour dates.

Call The Comet, the new album from Johnny Marr is available to listen to from June 15.
