Latitude Festival adds Gabrielle Aplin and NAO to 2018 bill

Not a day passes by without a festival announcement, each one riles us up for those summer days, holding pints in our mud-covered festival gear and the latest is courtesy of Latitude Festival 2018.

The latest additions to be added to the Latitude roster are the likes of Alex Cameron, R&B connoisseur NAO as well as serious delight, Gabrielle Alpin.  Excitingly, UK hip-hop, trap and jazz artist, IAMDDB is set to headline the Sunrise Arena.  Elswehere, you can find Phohophobes and The Orielles.

The Suffolk fiesta, priding itself on boasting the best of live music, theatre, art and comedy, has already rounded up headliners Alt-J, The Killers, Solange, Harry Hill and Bridget Christie, as well as artists such as Wolf Alice, Mogwai and The Vaccines.  All of these artists will all play across the festival from Friday 13-15 July 2018.

For the first time in Latitude history, QI will bring it’s classic trivia to the Comedy Arena, with Sandi Toksvig and Alan Davies mustering up a star-studded panel for the all-bells-and-klaxons edition.

Arguably, however, the most exciting announcement comes from The Speakeasy area, where former Labour leader Ed Miliband and Geoff Lloyd will give us the gift that keeps on giving – a live show on their award-winning podcast Reasons to be Cheerful.  This is set to feature special guests, optimism and a personal experience from both the spokespeople.

Also announced for Latitude 2018 are the likes of Jessie Ware with her podcast Table Manners, Adam Buxton, Charming Bake and renowned folk singer, Sam Lee, while Ovalhouse, Madi Maxwell-Libby’s debut theatre show, Massive Sense of Urgency and Rachel Young’s Grace Jones-inspired Nightclubbing are all set to be the face of the Theatre.

This flow of new artists are the cherry on top of the Latitude feast, you can buy your tickets here if you haven’t already snapped them up. Alas, festival season!
