Glitch-pop duo, Let’s Eat Grandma, have recently dropped details of their second album I’m All Ears. The release is scheduled for June 29 via Transgressive Records and features artwork by Yanjun Chengart.
I’m All Ears will be the second act of the multi-instrumentalists, Let’s Eat Grandma. Fuelled with innovative and unapologetic synth-pop cuts, the record is set to be much harder than their 2016 effort, I, Gemini.
‘Falling Into You,’ is the latest track to be taken from the album. It echoes melodic, and dominant synths from start to finish. You can listen to it ‘Falling Into You’ below.
In talks about the new track, Rosa from the band said via press release, “It’s about getting to know someone and getting over your fears about feeling insecure. It’s about telling people how you feel.”
On the same subject, Jenny added “Some of the lyrics reference being in control as a woman in a relationship and being the one to initiate. So, you’re the person who tells them that you like them, you’re taking the initiative. It’s the importance of if you feel something, tell them. Because you don’t know what’s going to happen life, you might as well just do it.”
As well as featuring ‘Falling Into You’, the album consists of eleven tracks including ‘Snakes & Ladders’, ‘Hot Pink, ‘Whitewater’ and ‘Donnie Darko’. Rough Trade has said that the record is “not only the sound of a band diverging and finding their own identities, it is also the sound of two young musicians united afresh.”
