LISTEN: Beth Macari shares new single ‘One More Time’

Having had almost 200,000 streams of her debut release on her new record label, Geordie pop soulstress Beth Macari is back with her second follow up single of the summer.
Recorded at Newcastle’s legendary Cluny Studios in the Ouseburn Valley, ‘One More Time’ is an epic ballad that represents an artist at the peak of her powers and will be released on all good digital stockists in June.

Sonically powerful, beautifully poignant and highly emotive, this track is without a doubt Beth’s most ambitious to date complete with a stunning and heart rendering vocal that is more than worthy of the national media acclaim she continues to receive.

Following the success of Beth’s previous single “Stronger” – which was Gaby Roslin’s Track of The Week on BBC Radio London – Beth illustrates her more tender side on ‘One More Time’ and faces the soul destroying possibility of losing a loved one.

“It was the most emotional I have ever been in a studio. I am used to writing sassy songs, so recording this was a different vibe altogether,” explains Beth. “It happened really quickly, I think I had all this sadness inside of me I just needed to release. You can hear my voice crack in the drop down chorus, that was me holding back some tears. I wanted this to be real and a reflection of where I was at when I wrote it.

‘One More Time’ is for anyone who has lost someone, there is no worse feeling.”

Beth was selected by BBC Introducing to perform at their “New Year, New Artist” showcase at the iconic Sage, Gateshead in January, which was also aired on Tom Robinson’s show on BBC 6 Music.

She followed this with a short tour supporting Davina Michelle and was invited back to SoFar Sounds Liverpool for their “Best Of” show following her first appearance there in 2018.

Having supported some of the biggest up and coming names in the music industry, Beth Macari earned her own time in the spotlight whilst fronting the live house band on Sky One celebrity panel show ‘Bring the Noise’. In this time she sang alongside legends Nicole Scherzinger, Tinie Tempah and Mel C regularly.

Hailing from Newcastle Upon Tyne, Beth has always had a gift for music. Beth spent two years touring with singer, actor, broadcaster and legend Jane McDonald. Jane was so impressed that she brought Beth back to sing with her on her last ever appearance on Loose Women.

Beth has featured in a short film with Adam Garcia of Coyote Ugly fame and has recently acted alongside Mackenzie Crook, Johnny Vegas and a whole cohort of well-known actors in a short film set to be released on Netflix later on in the year. Once again proving that Beth Macari has many a string to her bow.

With lots of new music in the pipeline as well as planned festival appearances and full UK tour about to be announced, 2019 is set to be a breakthrough year for this Northern pop starlet and is looking forward to the public response to her new single.
