LISTEN: Busty and The Bass release their latest single, ‘Out of Love’ ft Macy Gray

Canadian collective Busty and The Bass have released their latest single, ‘Out of Love’. Featuring the legendary Macy Gray, the track possesses a summer fuelled groove, whilst maintaining clear Jazz sensibility and maturity.

The track follows the release of their 2017 debut, ‘Uncommon Good’, and provides a smooth and breezy listening experience. Whilst the effortless vocals of Macy Gray elevate the track to its dreamy, up-beat best. It is set to be accompanied by an electronic remix by British DJ and producer Harrison, set for release on July 1st.

Speaking of the track, vocalist and alto sax player Nick Ferraro said: “‘Out of Love’ started as a remix that Chris, our trombone player, was working on.

“It was never supposed to be an original tune but the song’s vocal idea quickly took form and became its own thing.

“It’s sometimes a treat writing vocals after most of the beat is made, you can really feel the energy and play with the instrumental. I was getting a lot of hot and cold communication from someone and this song is me airing out a bit of that frustration.”

The forthcoming album is set to be produced by Neal Pogue, who has previously worked with the likes of DRAM and Tyler The Creator. More details are to follow.
