LISTEN: Cadenza shares new ‘Major Lazer-inspired’ track ‘Electric Blocks’ feat Fem Fel

In the wake of the release of his last release ‘How Many Times’ featuring Kiko Bun, which garnered praise from Zane Lowe, Cadenza aka Oliver Rodigan is back and ready to make his mark on 2015 with his brand new track ‘Electric Blocks’ feat rapper Fem Fel.

The track speaks volumes with Cadenza’s trademark heavy-bass perfectly complimenting Fem Fel’s unrelenting flow and wit. At just 25 years old, West Londoner Oliver Rodigan has established himself as an artist-to-watch in both the UK and across the pond. Having produced two tracks for Grammy nominated artist Ryan Leslies Black Mozart album, Oliver also released his forward thinking club track ‘Gyal Town’ on Diplos Mad Decent/Jeffrees imprint.

Picking up further support from the likes of Mista Jam, Toddla T, Shy FX and David Rodigan, Cadenza has caught previous attention with his remixes of artists such as Wiley and Ella Eyre. Now moving firmly into the realms of original material, Cadenza is setting the pace with an electronic, Dancehall tinged, bass-lead sound, which is sure to get you moving. Having spent much of 2014 touring as the new member of Diplo’s Major Lazer’s live show, and performing across the globe from Las Vegas to Europe and beyond, you can hear the evidence of that Major Lazer connection and influence within ‘Electric Blocks’, which is by no means a bad thing and should make for an exciting 2015 for the Londoner.

Check out the track below and let us know what you think via Twitter and Facebook. If you enjoy what you hear, it’s worth noting that the track is available as a free download on Soundcloud, you lucky people!
